Countdown to Alone Time

I am so excited about going out of town in less than 3 weeks! My hubby has drill, so I'll be traveling with him. We will be going to his unit's annual picnic. We go and sit around and wait for the commander to tell everyone they can go. Last year was actually fun, but after a couple of hours the kids and I were ready to leave. But NOPE, the military tells you when you can and can't go.
My mother-in-law has offered to watch the kids for us. I am desperately needing time with my husband...just the two of us. I don't think we'll get the chance again for a LONG while. Anyway, ever since my MIL has been here, our couple time has basically not existed. She feels the need to spend every waking minute with him when he's off work. She calls him everyday when she's not at our house just to see what he's doing. She didn't do that when she was in Vegas (where she lives). I feel like telling her to cut the cord already...he's 37 years old! I'm feeling a little jealous, I guess, but I'm his wife! She's staying for an indefinite amount of time...whatever THAT means. So I'm sending up constant prayers for my sanity and also that God will change my attitude towards her. I love her, don't get me wrong. She's been my MIL for 10 years. But she just gets on my nerves. You see why I'm praying that God will change my attitude towards her.

Update: School has gotten a little better for me. I wish they required you to take a class on time management though! I am the worst at procrastinating. I have really good intentions to finish things before they are actually due. I don't guess it's the intentions that count though...LOL!
