I'm feeling a little overwhelmed this semester! Ok...so maybe A LOT overwhelmed. When I register for classes, I try to consider how much work will be involved in each class. I have speech, elementary spanish, college algebra, and Arkansas history. My history class is no big deal. I have an awesome teacher and he makes it very interesting. The only thing is we only get our grades from our tests. That can be a good thing or a bad thing. For me, it's ok, because I actually take time to do the study guide and study! There are those who forget they are actually in college. They don't put the time in to do the work and wonder why they fail the class. Anyway, my rant about those kind of people is a whole other blog topic...hehee!
As for the other three classes I'm taking, College Algebra is the hardest for me right now. I'm totally confused. I'll definitely be spending some time very soon in the tutoring lab. I'm thankful my school provides one free of charge. My Spanish class is okay. If I can get past the creepy teacher and the dullness of the class. I almost fell asleep this morning. I pride myself on working hard in my classes. I've never had one that made me this way. My speech class has an extreme amount of work in it. I've had handouts and worksheets every class. Add reading the chapters and preparing for speeches on top of that, and you can see I'm going to be very busy!
Don't get me wrong...I LOVE school! I guess it's good I chose to get my degree in Early Childhood Education. I'll just be glad when this semester settles down. It's usually craziest in the beginning and in the end. The middle normally calms down. Thank goodness!
It doesn't help that I have 3 kids and a husband to take care of as well! Thankfully, my husband helps me tremendously. Also, I have all 3 of my kids in school now. I have the best friend in the world that is too far away, but she is an amazing encouragement to me! I call her when I need someone to tell me everything is going to be okay. She is ALWAYS there to make me laugh! I need that quite often. Thank goodness for mobile to mobile and yahoo! LOL!!
Anyway, I've rambled on enough about nothing in particular. I guess I should get to what I've been avoiding...HOMEWORK.
